"But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” (Acts 16:25-28 NKJV)

Can we imagine having a joy like this? Paul and Silas had been beaten with many stripes and thrown into prison, and yet they are filled with joy as they singing praises to the Lord!

We have spent the last several weeks looking at the fruit of the Spirit found in (Galatians 5). On this episode, we look at the fruit of joy as produced by the Spirit in the life of a Christian.

Galatians 5:22-25 (NKJV)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
